Here's What Our Customers Are Saying

Since deregulation in PA, I review my energy (Gas & Electric) at least once a year. I was amazed with how easy it was to convert my electric service to Shipley Energy. They not only had one of the lowest rates, but also the online process was quick, very easy, and I received emails explaining my account had been created and the cancellation to my previous supplier. Would definitely recommend to family and friends shopping for a new utility provider"

Joe L.

Great customer service! Always keeping you updated on contract dates and rates, no guessing as to when it ends. Would highly recommend Shipley Energy."

Barb B.

I switched to Shipley for both electric and gas and their rate lowered my supplied cost. I would recommend them to others."

As a residential customer, you will continue to receive a single bill from your utility that will include supply charges from Shipley Energy and charges from the utility.
No, as a supplier of electricity Shipley Energy purchases the power that you use in your home and works with utility companies like UGI and Met-Ed which transport and distribute the energy to your home. Once you become a customer of Shipley Energy, your local utility company will still distribute the energy to your home, handle outages/maintenance and maintain power lines.
Shipley Energy works with multiple generation companies and buys electricity in bulk when pricing in the marketplace is low. We take advantage of seasonality and other factors to get the best prices for our customers. If you do not choose a supplier, your utility, whether it’s PECO, Met-Ed, or a similar company, will bill you at the current market rate, which continually fluctuates, creating pricing uncertainty on a month-to-month basis.
